Watch The Perfect House For Just $1

Sunday, February 5th, 2012

In my quest to try and give you guys a super awesome bargain from time to time, I have just laid my eyes upon possibly the deal of the year, maybe even the century. How would you like to watch Kris Hulbert and Randy Kent’s horror anthology The Perfect House for just .30! Not only do you get to see the film, but you will be doing your part, as a donation goes towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Its a win-win situation, we here love the boobies.

But, be quick as this is only available for the duration of this month. So if you would like to witness The Perfect House legally for , head on over to their official Facebook page.

The Perfect House stars Fellisa Rose, Chris Raab, Jonathan Tiersten, Andrea Vahl and John Philbin.

Synopsis: “Not every house was meant to be a home. Some houses are just born bad. The Perfect House franchise is the story of such a house.

All three films and “TPH Origins: John Doesy” intertwine in any order to tell a single story about the life and death of the Perfect House.

Each film in the franchise tells separate segments of a seemingly perfect home that is consistently on the market for new occupants.

Adding to this unique franchise are the different styles that each installment is shot in and the original way each film connects together.

The original film gives the back story of three home owners spread out over several decades. Filmed as an homage to horror, every story is shot with the horror influences of the time period that each home owner occupies the house.

The second film gives us the stories of what happens before and after the first film, and reveals someone desperately working to uncover the secrets of the Perfect House.

In the third installment, the birth and death of the house is front and center as the secret origins of the house are finally revealed.

The franchise’s most popular and prolific killer, John Doesy, takes over with his own franchise. “TPH Origins: John Doesy” delves into the childhood and traumatic experiences that ultimately bring Doesy to the door step of the Perfect House. The Doesy franchise will follow his weekly routine of psychological and physical torture, which claims the lives of over 200 victims during his five year reign of terror.

These franchises will have fans spending years exploring each film in an effort to discover all the secrets of The Perfect House.”

7 Horror Shorts To Watch This Holiday

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

I’m pretty sure you guys have seen every single Christmas-themed horror movie known to man, and lets be honest, you can only watch the same few over and over. So here I bring to you 7 Christmas horror shorts, that you may have seen before, if not, then please enjoy and have a safe Holiday.

A Very Zombie Holiday

This one is basically a faux instructional video in the event of a zombie apocalypse during the Christmas period and how you can survive while still baking a pretty kickass pie. This one comes from Team Unicorn with Adam Green’s wife, Rileah Vanderbilt spearheading the short. I enjoyed it, and heck, I wish I was stuck with these ladies during the apocalypse.

Rare Exports Inc.

I couldn’t make a Christmas list without including Jalmari Helander Rare Exports. The same short from which the feature film was created from. However, if you haven’t seen the full film yet you may want to give this a miss as it spoils some of the film. Also, old-man jiggly bits aren’t something you want to see if you are of nervous disposition. If not go right ahead and enjoy this Christmas gem!

Black Santa’s Revenge

Before there was Hobo With a Shotgun, there was David Walker’s blaxploitation mini-epic Black Santa’s Revenge which stars genre legend Ken Foree. A little bit of grindhouse  for your Holidays, please enjoy and hopefully one day we may see a feature film.

My Name Is Kris Kringle

Here I bring to you Drew Daywalt’s My Name Is Kringle, a stellar little short which shows just what Santa does to those who have made it into his Naughty book. Prey you didn’t make the list!

Treevenge

Another short which is no stranger around these parts is Jason Eisener’s Treevenge. Before Hobo With a Shotguncame about, Eisner unleashed the full fury of Christmas pine trees, they have had enough of becoming a decoration and now its time for revenge, Treevenge that is.

Cold Night

When you think of Christmas and especially Christmas horror, you think of Santa Claus and his wrath of evil. However, you’d be missing one vital evil during this time, the goblin! While your eyes are averted and waiting for jolly Saint Nick, the goblin has the perfect chance to sneak up on you and take you out, check out Michael Nicle’s short and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The Winter Stalker

Last, but by no means least is the truly awesome and well produced short The Winter Stalker Stephen Reedy. I don’t want to spoil this one, so I won’t say anything as anything I say will truly spoil it. :) Check it out and thanks for watching and have a safe and merry Christmas everyone!

Watch Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 6 Free Sneak Peak

Saturday, November 19th, 2011

I have to be honest I was a huge fan of Walking Dead Season one and I literally waited with anticipation for Sunday to see the next episode. As much as I want to say I feel the same way about Season 2 I simply can not. It is a slow plodding affair and it seems that AMC has expanded to 13 episodes but rather then the writing team doubling the fun just added more worthless dialogue.

I am a huge proponent for zombies and the combination of human drama but Walking Dead Season 2 is less about survival then it is about the ridiculous dialogue which is tragic. Season One had the perfect mix of isolation, terror and human drama to make it a smash hit.

Season 2 so far has done nothing for me but make me hope things will get better and question the need for a third season without Frank Darabont. I am starting to wonder if we are starting to see why Frank left / was let go from the project after fighting over the direction of the series.

Monday, June 27th, 2011

Tommy Brunswick upcoming slasher flick, Exit 33, which stars genre veteran Kane Hodder is making it’s way to DVD, according to BreakingGlassPictures, Exit 33 will hit DVD on August 2nd and you can pre-order yourself a copy now.

I think this looks great, a lot of eyeball action to be had and Kane Hodder is still as menacing as ever, check out the official trailer below.

Exit 33 stars Kane Hodder, Christian Koza, April Canning, Virginia Negron Bryant, Jerry Reid, Antoinette Nikprelaj, Paul Elia and Maria E. Hildreth.

Synopsis: “A few miles off Exit 33 lies Ike’s Last Chance Gas, an old, forgotten hideaway where the reclusive Ike pumps gas and practices his taxidermy skills. Though he might come across as a simple soul, Ike has a dark secret: he’s obsessed with women who have enchanting eyes — eyes he wants to keep for himself. Now, as four friends make their way to their 5-year high school reunion, they all make the mistake of taking Exit 33, and they won’t be making it back to the highway any time soon.

Starring the legendary Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees of the Friday the 13th series), Exit 33 is a no holds barred gore-fest that dares viewers to look away. With its unrelenting suspense and biting humor, it’s a bloody throwback to slasher classics that will satisfy any horror fan’s bloodlust.”
