Severin Films have officially released DVD details BLOODY BIRTHDAY and Aussie slasher, NIGHTMARES (a.k.a. STAGE FRIGHT); plus the bizarre cult 1973 horror film, THE BABY, for DVD-release!  All three titles will officially hit store shelves on June 28th!  Special features include the following:

• 50-minute audio interview with director Ed Hunt
• “Don’t Eat That Cake!” interview featurette with star Lori Lethin
• “A Brief History of Slasher Films” featurette with GOING TO PIECES author Adam Rockoff

Bloody Birthday Premise:

In 1970, three children were born during the height of a total eclipse of Saturn, the planet governing emotion. Ten years later these seemingly innocent children have become heartless killers able to move around under the radar of suspicion because of their youthful facades. What happens when a teenage girl and her younger brother stumble upon the horrible truth?

UHM – Upcoming Horror Movies – Your upcoming horror movies resource since June 24th ’99

Today, Severin Films have officially announced the acquition of 80′s slasher films; BLOODY BIRTHDAY and Aussie slasher, NIGHTMARES (a.k.a. STAGE FRIGHT); plus the bizarre cult 1973 horror film, THE BABY, for DVD-release!  No official details on special features or cover art for any of these releases at this time, especially whether these titles will receive a Hi-Def Blu-ray treatment.  However, the film distributor has promised brand new transfers from original film negatives, plus brand new interviews and audio comedies for the later two titles.  Stay tuned for official specs information and release dates in the coming months!

Cover art for the following MGM Home Entertainment horror titles have been revealed by the distributor; set to hit Blu-ray shelves on September 14th!  The Blu-rays will be packaged with a DVD copy of the film, but no other special features are yet known.  Unless we hear otherwise, just assume the previous DVD special features will be included on Blu-ray releases!
