But who knows, I’ll give them a chance, like I always do and thanks to Dread Central we have the first artwork that you see before you.

The film stars Jon Kondelik and Luke Barnett and is directed by Geoff Meed, look for this one when it hits DVD on December 13th.

New Poster for Wrong Turn 4

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings will hit DVD this October 18th via Fox Home Entertainment and I am all up for a fourth Wrong Turn film but very thankful they have chosen the prequel route. We will just have to see if Declan O’ Brien can deliver.

So with much thanks to Bloody-Disgusting we have the new poster for the film, although I have one question, they are cannibals, so why just take the head? Who knows, maybe they are fans of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginningsis directed by Declan O’Brien and stars Sean Skene, Daniel Skene, Rick Skene, Scott Johnson, Jennifer Pudavick and Tenika Davis.

Synopsis: “At an isolated hospital deep in the West Virginia wilderness, three hideously deformed mutants go on a merciless killing spree. Now, decades later, this family of blood-thirsty cannibals is stalking new prey: a group of young skiers trapped by a blizzard. The abandoned medical wards soon become killing fields as the panicked victims come face to face with a chilling choice — fight back or die. With bonus footage too graphic for theaters, ‘Wrong Turn 4′ takes you to the most terrifying place of all…the beginning.

Poster For Foreign 3D Horror Flick Rabbit

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

We mentioned Takashi Shimuzu’s (Ju-On) Rabbit Horror 3D way back in September and not much else has been released since then. That is until today, with much thanks to FilmSmash we have the newly released poster which leaves much to the imagination.

Shimuza’s last film was Shock Labyrinth 3D which I’m still waiting to see, but if you’ve seen it then maybe you’ll know if the 3D turned out well or not.

Rabbit Horror 3D is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and stars Mitsushima Hikari, the story follows Mitsushima’a brother is sent to an alternate world after receieving the rabbit. Mitsushima must then reveal the secret of the rabbit in order to retrieve her brother.

An official website has been launched but it is currently under-construction so check back to see if/when it is live.

The film will be released in Asia this Summer and Fortissimo Films have picked up the worldwide rights (excluding Japan) for Rabbit Horror 3D. Which I hope will mean a speedy release for us.

UK Poster for Mother’s Day

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Mothers Day UK PosterDarren Lynn Bousman’s Mother’s Day is almost upon us, well for us Brits anyway. As Mother’s Day hit’s UK theatres on June 10th, unfortunately there is still no word as to when this will have a U.S. theatrical or even VOD release.

So with Mother’s Day just around the corner we have the rather intriguing one-sheet thanks to the guys over at Empire. And I for one cannot wait to witness this one, it looks as if it takes itself a bit more seriously than the original, but saying that I love the original too.

Mother’s Day is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW II, III & IV) and stars Jamie King, Deborah Ann Woll, Shawn Ashmore, Lisa Marcos, Frank Grillo, Patrick Flueger, Tony Nappo, Warren Kole and Briana Evigan.

Synopsis“After a bank robbery gone wrong, three brothers head for home, hoping their MOTHER (Rebecca De Mornay) can provide them with a getaway. The youngest brother, JOHNNY (Matt O’Leary), has been shot, and their back-stabbing former partner has gotten away with all the cash.

But when the brothers get home, they find that all their stuff is gone and Mother is nowhere to be found: She lost the house months ago in a foreclosure. The new owners, BETH and DANIEL SOHAPI (Jaime King and Frank Grillo), and their guests, gathered for an ill-timed birthday party, become the brothers’ unwitting hostages.

Not long after, Mother arrives, along with the boys’ sister LYDIA (Deborah Ann Woll), and it soon becomes clear that Mother will do absolutely anything to protect her children. In one terrifying evening she brilliantly takes control of the situation and masterminds her sons’ escape from the law.

Sides will be taken, secrets revealed, and sins punished as the hostages struggle to make it through the night alive.”

Poster and Trailer for The Silent House

Monday, March 28th, 2011

The Silent House (La Casa Muda) is a unique film, one that comes from Uruguay. But also it is said to be the first horror film of its kind shot in real time. This means it was shot in one continuous shot which lasted 78 minutes, so you can imagine the kind of buzz that is happening behind this one.

Here’s the bad news. Well it’s actually good or bad depending on your opinion. When ever a good foreign surfaces you just know it will be remade and in this case the American remake is already in production simply titled Silent House. The remake is being helmed by Chris Kentis and Laura Lau with Elizabeth Olsen, Adam Trese and Eric Sheffer all starring.

Anyway thanks to our friends over at 24FPS we have the international trailer and poster as well as a translated synopsis, enjoy. The Silent House is directed by Gustavo Hernández and written by Oscar Estevez. The film stars, Florencia Colucci, Abel Tripaldi and Gustavo Alonso.

Synopsis: “Laura ( Florencia Colucci) and her father ( Gustavo Alonso) settle down in a cottage which seems to be off the beaten track in order to update it since its owner ( Abel Tripaldi) will soon put the house on sale. They will spend the night there in order to start the repairs the following morning. Everything seems to go on smoothly until Laura hears a sound that comes from outside and gets louder and louder in the upper floor of the house. Wilson goes up to see what is going on while she remains downstairs on her own waiting for her father to come down. The plot is based on a true story that happened some time ago in a small village in Uruguay. “La Casa Muda” focuses on the last seventy eight minutes, second by second, when Laura intends to leave the house which hides an obscure secret and she hopes to leave unharmed.”

For more information check out their official websiteThe Silent House hits UK cinemas on April 8th.
