While we are still slightly in the dark regarding John Gulager’s Piranha 3DD, there is one person we can count on to give us a few (crazed) juicy details, read on below to see just what Gary Busey will be doing in the sequel.

While speaking with Empire Online, Busey tell’s them, “I play a farmer. A cow explodes because of its farting ability and out of it come hundreds of piranha, raining down on me. You’ll see how I treat one of them.”

Does this one sound crazy or what!? Well, my interest in the sequel has just doubled, bring on the piranha mayhem!

Piranha 3DD is said to hit theatres sometime next year.

Synopsis: “There’s something in the water… again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

The fine folks at Dimension Films dropped us a line to let us know the best 3D movie with boobs and killer fish is back! Probably worth noting those are my words and not theirs. You all voted Piranha 3D one of the Best Horror Films of 2010 and Dimension is looking to cash in on your interest with the sequel that is shooting now.

The sequel which we all knew was in the works is ready to rock and production has finally begun on Piranha 3DD aka Piranha 3D 2.

Principal photography is now underway in Wilmington, NC on PIRANHA 3DD, being directed by John Gulager (FEAST). There’s something in the water . . . again.  And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.

Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Danielle Panabaker (THE CRAZIES), Matt Bush (ADVENTURELAND), Chris Zylka (THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN), David Koechner (ANCHORMAN), Meagan Tandy (UNSTOPPABLE),  Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager and more cast to be announced soon.

PIRANHA 3DD shows its teeth in theatres nationwide on November 23, 2011.  The feast is on this Thanksgiving.

Below you can checkout a clip from Piranha 3D which was shown on the George Lopez show. The video that you want to see starts at around the 5minute mark and shows Ving Rhames being his bad ass self dealing with a Piranha problem in the best possible way. The film will explode into theaters in 3D on August 20th.

Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break, a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there’s something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; a new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents.

Below you can checkout a 9 minute clip for Piranha 3D which was shown at Comic con it featuers blood, carnage and oh yes.. Piranhas. I am still not sold on the need for 3D and frankly will do my best to see the film in 2D and avoid the gimmick but with Alex Aja directing its a safe bet its gonna be a good time!

We have us a new UK poster for PIRANHA 3D thanks to STYD  The poster isn’t gory like the last pic we posted for you gore-hounds, but it does feature a topless babe with alcohol, blissfully unaware of the oncoming onslaught of deadly piranha’s coming to munch on her flesh! Although maybe she is aware, but why remove your bra?

Either way the poster looks like a throw back to the 80′s of babe’s, booze and violence Anyway check out the poster below: Piranha 3D is released in on August 20th

Film.com wrote up a list of their most anticipated horror movies of 2009. The list includes a lot sequel and remakes. Unfortunately looks like next year in horror might not be much better than this year was in horror. A couple that we’ve pinned our hopes to though include Sam Raimi’s return to horror with Drag Me to Hell. Won’t be the tiny Evil Dead type budget to be sure but this is Raimi and we’re still optimistic.

3-D is making a comeback of a sort with My Bloody Valentine remake (in 3-D), Final Destination 4 (in 3-D) and Piranha 3-D. That’s a lot of funny-lookin’ glasses wearing. My Bloody Valentine and Piranha are ’80s remakes, although with Alexandra Aja on Piranha, that could be campy goodness. The Joe Dante original was camp and hopefully this one will be too.

But Really Scary’s most anticipated horror flick of 2009 has to be The Wolfman, starring Benecio Del Toro. He is the wolfman. That said, Nicholson’s turn at it in Wolf was god awful and we thought he was born for the part. We’ll see how it goes.

EurNews reports Ving Rhames returns to the big screen in Dimension Films’ upcoming Piranha 3D, a remake of the 1978 film that followed the accidental release of a genetically-altered species of piranha into lakes, rivers and even swimming pools.

Rhames joins Richard Dreyfuss, Elisabeth Shue and Adam Scott in the film. Director Alexandre Aja starts shooting next month in Arizona for release next March.
