Official Trailer For Horror Musical Eldorado 3D

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

I’m at a bit of a crossroads here. On one hand I really like the sound of Richard Driscoll’s horror musical Eldorado 3D. The film also has a stellar cast to boot, but for me, the trailer doesn’t really do anything for me. Maybe its just me, check out the official trailer below and see what you make of it.

Eldorado 3D is directed by Richard Driscoll and stars Daryl Hannah, David Carradine, Michael Madsen, Steve Guttenberg, Brigitte Nielsen, Jeff Fahey, Patrick Bergin, Bill Moseley and Sylvester McCoy.

Synopsis“After wrongly being sent to a Neo Nazi fund raiser instead of a Bar Mitzvah, Blues Brothers tribute band ‘The Jews Brothers’, Stan and Ollie, get offered a gig in El Dorado to make amends for the gig gone sour. At the very same time Jessica, a beautiful but despondent wife is on the run with a million dollars from her cheating husband’s night club. All roads lead to El Dorado; these lives intersect and at this point it means trouble. While these small lives revolve around each other, a bigger power is controlling the action to make their visit to this town one they will never forget. It’s El Dorado’s 200th anniversary, the townsfolk are hungry to celebrate, which does prove unfortunate for the tourists who come to visit and find that they are the dish of the day.”

This one hits DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on January 30, 2012. Unfortunately we don’t have a U.S. date at this time, but stay tuned for that one. You can pre-order Eldorado over at Amazon.

Official Trailer For Silent House Remake

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

I know we unfortunately live in a time of remakes, but only last month did I watch the original flick La Casa Muda (The Silent House) and the remake is already ready for its release. Its quite surreal. Anyway, here we have the full official trailer for Chris Kentis and Laura Lau’s Silent House which stars Elizabeth Olsen, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.

Synopsis: “SILENT HOUSE is a uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, SILENT HOUSE uses meticulous camera choreography to take the audience on a tension-filled, real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot.”

For more information check out their Facebook page.

Silent House hits theatres on March 9, 2012.

Official Photos for Irish Monster Movie ‘Grabbers’

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

We first announced Jon Wrights upcoming Irish monster movie Grabbers back in December, the film had quite a twist which we don’t see in horror movies, where alcohol will actually save your life against the oncoming monster(s).

I think this is a great idea, its also said to be in the vein of Gremlins and Tremors, we still don’t know what these little or big blighters look like or what to expect from them, but we do have some official photos and early artwork thanks to their Facebook page which you can view below.

Grabbers is written by Kevin Lehane and directed by Jon
Wright, the film stars Richard Coyle, Ruth Bradley, Russell Tovey, Lalor
Roddy, David Pearse,
Bronagh Gallagher, Pascal Scott, Clelia Murphy, Jonathan Ryan, Barbara
Adair, Stuart Graham, Roz McCutcheon, Louis Dempsey, Killian Coyle,
Billy Clarke and Ned Dennehy.

Synopsis: “An idyllic remote Irish fishing village – replete with twinkly-eyed eccentric Waking Ned
characters – is invaded by enormous tentacled creatures from the sea
who are picking off the villagers one at a time. The inhabitants learn
that the one thing the creatures don’t like is alcohol, it makes people
taste horrible, so they realise that in order to stay alive, they’re
going to have to get as pissed as possible.”

Sony has acquired the UK distribution rights for Grabbers, for a release this year, unfortunately there is no word on a U.S. deal.

ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest II – Official Synopsis Inside

Friday, November 19th, 2010

ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest II is now into it’s second week of filming and unfortunately last week Michael Biehn had to leave the film so he could film another production in Tunisia, which is a disappointment but in Biehn’s place we now have Owain Yeoman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Mentalist) who will play Detective King.

So what can we expect from Laid to Rest II? Well dig on the official synopsis below:

“ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 picks up three months after we last left ChromeSkull (Principe) at the end of the original Laid to Rest. Tommy (Dekker), who’s struggling to come to terms with his encounter with the masked killer, has now gone missing courtesy of the maniacal Preston (Green), a mysterious player in the sequel with a sinister connection to ChromeSkull. Meanwhile, our killer has set his sights on a new girl, Jess (Michaels), and after the young girl disappears, Detective King (Yeoman) must race against the clock to find her and Tommy before it’s too late and try to put an end to ChromeSkull’s deadly legacy.

Chromeskull: Laid to Rest II is written & directed by Robert hall and stars Bobbi Sue Luther, Owain Yeoman, Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Lucas Till and Johnathan Schaec.
