Rolling Stone True Blood Cover is Naked, Bloody & Sexy

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

I dont know about the rest of you but I for one wish that True Blood would quit being so uptight and straight laced. For me its a vampire show that really needs alot more nudity, gore and gratuitous sex scenes to really complete it.  ( Seriously hope you all caught the heavy dose of sarcasm ).

Below you can checkout the cover of Rolling Stone which features True Blood and plenty of blood, sexuality and oh yes… blood. Tks to the Superficial for the cover.

Splatterhouse On the Cover of Fangoria

Friday, June 12th, 2009

This news is actually a bit of a shock to me but believe it or not Splatterhouse is going to become the first video game to ever grace the cover of Fangoria. You would think that something like Resident Evil, Dead Space, Silent Hill, Clock Tower or any other number of popular horror video games would have made the cover before Splatterhouse.

I guess this is one of the first steps of getting Fangoria back on track by Chris Alexander the new editor. Not sure about the choice of game.. But I do have to say that I am pleased that Fangoria is finally beginning to open up to the “world” and “lifestyle” of a horror fan.

Check out the art below and if you want to see more work from the artist check out his Deviant Art gallery.

Dead Space 2 Cover Art

Monday, June 8th, 2009

The original Dead Space is the only video game that I’ve played that has honestly given me a real horror jolt.  It was scary as all hell, plenty of gore, solid action and as a gamer; some of the best 3rd person shooter controls I think that’s ever been made.  So when a sequel was announced, I was totally there.  Well, the cover art for the second game as appeared on it’s official Twitter page.

And to be honest, I’m very underwhelmed.  The original’s severed arm was a strong visual image and really had some impact.  DS2‘s artwork…lacks that.  I hope that the cover art is changed, but if it stays that way; okay fine, gameplay is more important but still.  Dead Space 2 is due out early 2011 on Xbox360, PS3, and PC.
